Overview
Anatan takes its previous form's stats, gives them tiny boosts, and gains solid utility via new traits. Self Care allows Anatan very strong survivability with regeneration every time it gets hit. Protective Crystal provides some minor support to its allies, but Anatan's moveset lacks many supportive options. It is somewhat held back by a fairly lacking movepool, but it has seen play on bulkier teams and still has reasons to be picked on buff-oriented teams. Stamina is still a very big issue for Anatan, however, and this weakness needs to be compensated for.

Description
(1.3 DUKE'S NOTES - PROTECTIVE CRYSTAL IS WORTH TRYING NOW, BUT PROBABLY WORSE ON CARRY ANATAN THAN SELF CARE)
Anatan's stocks rose significantly in 0.9.3 when Chains Hit was changed from a Neutral type move to a Fire type move, and changed again to inflict the Trapped status. This gives a whole new angle to Late Torment teams, which now have a very easy way to apply trapped on a tem that also helps Late Torment users against Mental types.
On its own, Anatan is a very solid tem now that Chains Hit is a STAB 18 stamina Base Jump. While Anatan doesn't have the best attacking stats, it does have Heat Up to address that, as well as a bulk stat so impressive that SnrPlat had to make a seperate spreadsheet just to calculate it alongside Self-Care's incredible healing power. Mineral Hail and Crystal Bite are excellent crystal coverage.
Keeping Anatan away from opposing earths is a high priority, and keeping it next to buffing and healing tems should be as much of one in defensive teams. As mentioned earlier, though, Anatan is a key piece of Late Torment teams, and can be easily led alongside Yowlar, either physical Ven, or Neutral Koish.
